The challenge
Implement and operate groundwater remediation and treatment systemDuring the civil construction of a commercial building, resulting from aquifer dewatering, for the treatment and elimination of contaminants present, achieving a quality standard in line with the limits specified by current legislation.
The water from the dewatering pumping has concentrations of metals, barium, boron, manganese, and the presence of TPH - Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons.
The Project
In order to comply with environmental legislation NT-202 and DZ-205, treatability tests were conducted to define the project, where the process of water treatment with the remediation system occurs through chemical dosing, pH correction, aeration system for metal reduction, triple filtration system in quartz and activated carbon columns, and final polishing with ozone injection and recirculation.
The impact
Compact and automated system, capable of meeting a peak flow rate of 95m³ per hour, reducing operational burden, and complying with the legislation, reuse of treated water by the construction site, reduction of potable water consumption. System provided in format of lease/rental agreementmaking it easier for the construction company to contract the service.
