The Greywater Treatment Plant (PRO ETAF) is an automatic and compact system with dual filtration designed for the treatment and reuse of greywater, reducing the consumption of potable water in non-potable activities and contributing to environmental awareness.

Greywater is wastewater generated from domestic processes such as faucets, showers, laundry, and sinks, which are separate from sewage (blackwater). Greywater can account for up to 80% of the sanitary effluent generated in a development.

Greywater, due to its lower concentration of organic matter compared to blackwater, often undergoes physical-chemical treatment processes in many applications. The aim is to reduce turbidity, odors, and perform disinfection of greywater for subsequent reuse.

The Greywater Treatment Process for shopping centers

The greywater treatment process involves the addition of chemical reagents to the water, including a sanitizer for disinfection and clarification of the water and a coagulant for solid agglomeration, along with dual filtration through activated carbon and quartz columns. There is also an option for final polishing with ozone injection, replacing the sanitizer, to enhance the final quality of the treated water.
