ESG practices and compliance with environmental laws through the treatment of sanitary sewage
The PRO ETE biological effluent treatment system is designed to meet the need for the treatment of biological effluent (sewage) coming from restrooms and cafeterias, for enterprises located in areas lacking a public sewage collection network, serving sectors including industries, construction companies, car dealerships, hotels, transport companies, bus companies, and others.
Managing your waste, the conscious consumption of resources, and the correct disposal of effluents are environmental practices integral to ISO 14001 certification and ESG actions concerning the environment, bringing benefits to the enterprise from compliance with environmental legislation, visibility, and socio-environmental awareness, to savings through the reuse of treated water, reducing the consumption of potable water in non-noble activities, or through the disposal of effluents.
The implementation of a sanitary sewage treatment station enables its reuse for irrigation of green areas and gardens, classified as Class 3 reuse water according to the Water Conservation and Reuse Manual for Buildings.

With its own manufacturing of biological effluent treatment stations, Projeto Ambiental designs and sizes each sanitary sewage treatment system to meet the needs of each enterprise, with aerobic biological and physicochemical treatment processes, using technologies such as ozone, membranes, and other techniques ensuring the efficiency of the treatment station and the quality of the treated water.
The Biological Effluent Treatment Station (PRO ETB) is an environmental solution with a short-term return on investment for companies that incur costs for the disposal of effluents to third parties.
We offer ease of acquisition and implementation of treatment systems, with options for purchase or comodato contract, along with a specialized team to perform the technical, operational, and analytical monitoring of water and effluent treatment stations.
The compact Biological Effluent Treatment Station – ETB is comprised of a combination of processes for the physical, biological, and chemical treatment of sanitary effluent (sewage), each playing its role in the treatment for the removal or reduction of pollutants present in the effluent.
Sanitary sewage treatment process
The aeration process aims to provide oxygen to the microorganisms and prevent the deposition of bacterial flocs, mixing them homogeneously with the effluent. This mixture is called "liquor." The oxygen needed for biological growth is introduced into the liquor through a mechanical aeration system, by compressed air, or by introducing pure oxygen.
As the main responsible for treating the sanitary effluent, the activated sludge resulting from the concentration of microorganisms is recirculated from the sedimentation tank to the aeration tank, ensuring a high concentration of the bacteria colony for efficiency in removing or reducing the BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) in suspension or soluble form, as well as other nutrients.
As a final polishing step, the effluent is treated with a dosage of chemical reagents and filtered through a column of filtering elements for subsequent disposal or reuse of the treated effluent.
