DECONT Environmental Licensing with the Municipal City Hall
The request for the Operational Environmental License in DECONT is for enterprises or activities with local environmental impact, located in the Municipality of São Paulo, subject to environmental licensing by the Municipal Secretariat of Green and the Environment - SVMA.
The Department of Environmental Quality Control of the Municipal Secretariat of Green and the Environment of São Paulo (DECONT) is the sector responsible for reviewing the processes related to Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Licensing for enterprises and activities that cause or may cause local environmental impact.
Environmental Licensing in DECONT is regulated by Resolution No. 179/CADES/2016, which specifies which activities and enterprises are subject to municipal environmental licensing.
The renewal of the environmental license by the Municipal Secretariat of Green and the Environment - SVMA should be requested at least 120 days in advance, counting from the date, term, of expiration.
Environmental Registration SEGUR 4
The Environmental Registration in SEGUR – 4 is for enterprises with the installation of tanks, pumps, and equipment for storage and refueling of fuels and or chemical products, located in the city of São Paulo or other municipalities that require this municipal registration for environmental control. SEGUR – 4 registration for the following equipment:
– Stationary tanks for storage of flammable, combustible, and/or hazardous chemical products, in liquid or gaseous phases with a volume greater than 500L (five hundred liters);
– Liquid fueling pumps, gas "dispensers", suction and booster pumps, machines and engines (generators) associated, connected to the tanks mentioned above;
– Fuel filters for vehicle refueling;
– Equipment listed in the Descriptive Memorandum of Equipment for Registration, such as compressors, monitoring devices, vehicle washing equipment, water reuse equipment, among others.
SEGUR-4 is responsible for the registration and inspection of tank installations, pumps, and related equipment. In compliance with Law No. 16,642/2017, regulated by Decree No. 57,776/2017 and Ordinance No. 221/SMUL-G/2017, and other legal provisions.
